My name is Elise, I am a singer / actor / songwriter based in New York, NY. I graduated from Wagner College in spring of 2022 where I studied theatre performance. I first proved my dedication to theatre in 6th grade when I cut all my hair off after being cast as the title role in 'Oliver'. My love for performing only grew as I truly understood that it comes down to listening and connection.
Coming from a small town in Vermont has compelled me to seek connections outside of my immediate community; throughout high school I performed with theater companies in Burlington, VT, and spent the summer after junior year at Circle in the Square Theatre School. During the pandemic, I studied Meisner over Zoom with Matthew Corozine, which allowed me to hone my skills with people of all ages from all around the world. Meanwhile, Wagner taught me about what it is to maintain a sense of community within the larger artistic world.
Apart from performing I love to travel, hike, craft, do yoga, and talk to trees.
I began playing piano when I was in elementary school, but switched to guitar in middle school for a more portable instrument. Songwriting has always been a creative outlet for me, and I used my free time during the height of the pandemic to release my first full album after a few EPs and singles. My latest EP is a collection of music I wrote and produced myself during a creative summer living in Bozeman, MT.
While I enjoy city living, I also find joy in spending weeks at a time in the woods. Crazy, I know.
